Today DJI has announced the all new Matrice 100 quadcopter, the Matrice 100 features an all new flying platform that allows the end user to customize their experience using the DJI SDK.

• Expansion Bays
  • The expansion bays allow you to add additional components including the DJI Guidance Visual Sensing System, fly with a customized payload and fly with almost any device you desire. The expansions bays allow you to fly with cameras, sensors, computing boards, communication devices and much more. These additional payloads allow for more expandability and customization.
• Universal Power and Communication Ports
  • The Matrice 100’s dual CAN and UART ports provide the flexibility to add and remove a multitude of devices. The Matrice
  • 100 features two CAN and two UART ports, enabling you to build a system to fit your needs.
• Dual Battery Compartments
  • The DJI Matrice 100 features a dual battery compartment allowing for the use of two batteries, which will result in longer flight times. The Matrice 100 is compatible with the TB48D battery pack, when outfitted dual TB48D battery packs the Matrice is capable of up to 40 minute flight times.
• Customizable Balancing and Mounting
  • The Matrice 100 gives the user the flexibility of sliding the battery and other compartments around the body, which allows for the perfect balancing of all installed components.
• Adjustable Arm Angle for Greater Torque
  • Each of the four arms of the Matrice 100 are adjustable, adjusting the arms to a three degree angle achieves increased yaw torque and greater response.
• Rigid, Strong Frame System
  • In order to increase stiffness, reduce vibrations and bring extreme reliability, the Matrice 100 is constructed of lightweight carbon fiber. Each of the four arms contains DJI’s new soft vibration absorbing material helps eliminate feedback from the motors.
• Quick Release Landing Pads
  • The DJI Matrice 100 is fitted with impact reducing landing pads that help ensure smooth takeoffs and landings. The landing pads are also quick to remove allowing for easy replacement or upgrades.
• Dedicated Remote Controller
  • The DJI Matrice 100 includes a long range remote controller, which allows for a control distance of up to 1.2 miles (2km). The remote also features a rechargeable battery, fully adjustable controls and outputs allowing the connection of a mobile device.
• Mobile Application
  • The Matrice 100 utilizes the DJI Pilot application for live view and control of the attached devices. The DJI SDK also allows developers to access certain features of the Matrice by developing their own application.
• GPS
  • The Matrice 100 features a foldable mount that allows for faster satellite acquisition, more accurate position holding and flight planning.
• Upgraded Flight Controller and Integrated LightBridge
  • The Matrice 100 is equipped with the all new N1 flight controller which allows for ultra flight and responsiveness. LightBridge technology allows for HD video to be transmitted back to the remote controller (when using DJI’s X5 Camera and gimbal).
• E800 Propulsion System
  • The Matrice 100 features and upgraded version of the renowned E800 propulsion system, four powerful brushless motors, ultra quick ESC’s are integrated into the flight platform. This propulsion system give you the power and speed needed to handle even the most demanding payloads.
• Compatible Accessories for Further Expansion:
  • Guidance: DJI’s revolutionary sensor kit that helps your platform see its environment and recognize when obstacles or other objects are nearby. Use the DJI Guidance visual sensing system for precise flight characteristics and object avoidance.
  • X3 Camera and Gimbal System: Shoots in UHD 4K stabilized video and can capture up to 12 megapixels stills.

The DJI Matrice 100 will available for delivery at the end of June/beginning of July. The pricing will start at $3299 for the Matrice 100, with additional parts and accessories announced at a later date.
